Christian Life Assembly is a local church in Maple Ridge that offers a wide range of events and programs to connect and support the community. They have ministries to accommodate for different age groups: kids, youth, and young adults. In each ministry they put on different events such as a Revolution All-Nighter event for the youth, summer camps for the kids and a surf camp trip for young adults. They also organize missions and international outreach through their church.
Christian Life Assembly has two Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) students working for them this summer. Morgan is a student at Pacific Life Bible College studying Theology. This summer she is working with the youth program called Revolution. At any given youth event, anywhere from 20 to 60 youth show up to connect and partake in different activities. Morgan is responsible for the event planning and implementation within the Youth Ministry. Events that they put on include the Revolution All Nighter and other social activities for local youth.
Courtney is a CSJ student who is currently majoring in Counselling at the Pacific Life Bible College. This summer she is working in the kids ministry, working with children 11 years old and younger. She is helping prepare for events such as the kids camp that they are hosting and is in charge of volunteer management and preparedness where she is responsible for over 50 volunteers.
Both of these students are getting hands-on experience that directly translates into experience for their education and future careers. They both spoke to how important this program is for not only them, but also the Christian Life Assembly community; without the support from these students many of the summer programs would not have been possible over the summer.
It was great to see your devotion to the Church and our community Morgan and Courtney. Thank you for all the work that you are doing!
