On Sunday, I took part in the National House of Prayer’s day of prayer for the Canadian Government at the Maple Ridge Christian Reformed Church. While attending church, I was able to reflect on the wisdom I have been fortunate enough to so far receive, especially from the variety of events I have recently attended and the people I have met.
Whether it be National Aboriginal Day, the 102nd birthday of local Maple Ridge resident Iris Sagles, or the Day of Prayer at the Maple Ridge Christian Reformed Church, wisdom has come my way via the community and the people who live here.
While “greater things have yet to come and greater things have still to be done in this city”, I know I will carry this wisdom with me for the rest of my time as Member of Parliament for Pitt Meadows – Maple Ridge, and remain humble of this opportunity that has presented itself in my life.
