Pathfinder Youth Centre Society is a non-profit organization that provides mentor ship and employment skill programs to youth aged 15 to 30. They aim to prepare their youth for both the workforce and real life situations as they move forward in life.
Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) student Caitlin is spending her summer working at Pathfinder Youth Centre Society. She is a student at Simon Fraser University working towards obtaining her degree in communications. Caitlin’s job this summer is getting donations towards Pathfinder’s Fiesta Blanca charity fundraiser.
Skills that Caitlin has learned thus far include learning to push her boundaries and step outside of her comfort zone, how to distribute tasks when working with a team, forming new ideas and staying organized. When talking about this job she said, “[this job is] giving me a better idea of what I could experience and the professionalism required in communications”.
Thank you Caitlin for the visit and teaching me about the inspiring work that you are doing this summer!
